Chemical. CAS: 299927-47-2. Formula: C21H17NO2. MW: 315.37. Synthetic. 3-Morpholinobenzanthrone is a photostable, long-wave-length fluorescent membrane probe. This dye is excellent to be used in diagnostic applications involving the study of cell membranes such as those of immune competent lymphocytes. It is not toxic to the cell, but is sensitive to changes in the membrane structure. Spectral data: lambdaex 483nm; lambdaem 653nm (in MeOH). Has been used to characterize changes in the structural and functional properties of cell membranes and consequently the detection of immune state in patients with different pathologies.
