Background:
The immunogen for the anti-hp21 was a recombinant full length p21protein recognizing a 21kDa protein. The p21waf1 tumor suppressor protein shows no cross reactivity with the closely related inhibitors .p21waf1 is a specific inhibitor of cdk?s, and is a tumor suppressor involved in the pathogenesis of a number of malignancies including colon and breast carcinoma
