Description:
Sideroflexin-5 has cation transmembrane transporter activity and citrate transmembrane transporter activity. It is broadly expressed in brain, liver, kidney and other tissues. Sideroflexin-5 is associated with Parkinson Disease. An important paralog of this gene is SFXN3/Sideroflexin-3.
