The IFNGR1 CRISPR Knockout MCA-205-OVA-GFP Cell Line represents a specialized mouse cancer cell line that has been genetically engineered using CRISPR/Cas9 technology to knockout the IFNGR1 gene, which encodes the interferon-gamma receptor 1. This receptor is essential for the cellular response to interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), a critical cytokine in immune regulation and anti-tumor immunity.This specific cell line, MCA-205-OVA-GFP, originally derived from a murine fibrosarcoma, has been further modified to express ovalbumin (OVA) as a model antigen and green fluorescent protein (GFP) for easy tracking and visualization of the cells in experimental setups. The knockout of IFNGR1 in these cells allows researchers to study how the absence of IFN-γ signaling affects tumor behavior, immune evasion, and the effectiveness of various immunotherapeutic strategies.

PriCoat™ T25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) are recommended for optimal cell culture. RPMI 1640 Medium (TM503) + 10% FBS + 2 mM L-Glutamine (G275) + 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255), 37.0°C, 5% CO2. 150 ug/ml Geneticin/G418 (G271) for selection. Note: Selection drugs should be added to the culture medium after the first passage to ensure cells have recovered from freeze-thaw conditions.
