Customer Support Administrator

Location: Buckingham, UK

Terms: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours), Office-based

Salary: £21,000 - £25,000

Caltag Medsystems Limited (CML) is based in the Whiteleaf Business Centre, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 1TF. CML was incorporated in March 2001 as a life science distributor to the diagnostic and research markets in the UK and Ireland.

The Role

As a Customer Support Administrator, your duty is to be the customer’s advocate. You will be responsible for end-to-end customer experience, ensuring every customer gets the best possible outcome. To achieve this, you will contact suppliers and couriers to ensure goods are received when required and shipped in the correct manner to the customer.

Role responsibilities

General Customer Service activities:

  • Manage relationships with new and existing customers ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Process technical support enquiries.
  • Issue customer quotations and follow them up in a timely manner.
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of the range of products and services offered.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communication with suppliers relating to orders, technical support enquiries and quotations.

Logistics Management:

  • Identify and manage logistical issues including monitoring and evaluating couriers.
  • Complete quarterly shipping reports to the Senior Management Team.
  • Coordinate time-critical shipments.
  • Goods inwards, packing and dispatch activities.

IMS administration:

  • Sales Order and Purchase Order processing
  • CRM and Sales Ledger accounts
  • Goods Inwards Procedure
  • Sales Invoicing
  • Stock Control
  • Back Order Management
  • Customer quotations

General office duties as and when they arise and any other task that the CEO or MD may require.

The Candidate

You will most likely possess the following attributes:

  • Confident communicator with good people skills who can build relationships with customers and suppliers worldwide.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure orders are processed correctly.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Good level of IT literacy with experience in major Microsoft applications and specialist software.
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Enjoys working as part of a small team.

Experience working in the life-sciences sector or recent qualification in biological science (such as Biology A-Level) is beneficial but not a requirement for this role.

Full training will be provided.
